Michi Wohlleben: First Ascent at Dreifaltigkeit in Switzerland

Did you ever ask yourself, how a multi-pitch route is being bolted? Then you should see this video! The massive formation Dreifaltigkeit in the mountain range of Alpstein, Switzerland, looks like a sharp knife rising up to the sky. Climbing on it? Straight through the blank rock? This is Michi Wohlleben’s vision. During summer 2020 he and his friends Remo Schläpfer and Markus Hutter work their way up the wall with almost no holds. „We only bolt ground-up“, that’s the ethical approach of the team, bolting the new route. Huge whippers, with the drilling machine and cliffs are their daily business. The line is bolted, but will it be possible to climb the pitches?
