Escalartion on Gran Canaria – Bouldering on an Island

During our stay on Tenerife, we met the local Miguel Daza, who is part of the gran canarian boulder scene. After some talking it was clear to us that we had to take the chacne and visit the neighbour island for some days, and so we ended up having 3 of the most intese bouldering days we ever had with some of the most firendly and passioned boulderers we ever met. Gran canaria may not be the biggest island, but the quantity and quality of the Boulders found in the valley all over the island is just mind blowing. most of the boulders are formed by the river wich sometimes fills the steep valleys, and so you get an almost fontainebleau like experience with gigantic slopy feauters and top out without holds at all. definatly a place worth to visit and come back regulary in live… ZAAAP !
