Triple Amber [8B] ascent in Brione
During our last new years eve trip to Ticino the classic AMBER [8B/V13] in Brione was my main project. I tried it constantly back then but mainly struggled with the first move and getting the hold in the right place. On the last day of that trip it didn’t change, but I could climb the hole problem without the first move repetitively even at the end of the session. Therefore I left confident and syked to get back as soon as possible. Due to Covid-19 soon turned into later, but now I returned and worked the boulder together with Andi. To my surprise the first move felt much better this time. And with some minor beta changes (suggested by Andi) the start sequence was easier and I made it to the top on day one of this short trip. Andi also made big progress and after a session with many foot slips he did it as well. And not to forget, also Dave, who we met there twice, could also link all the moves together. Funny way we all used slightly different betas. So if you are looking for some solution details, this video is perfect for you!!
