Industrial Sewing Operative 

Full time, permanent.

 

What to expect:

Do you enjoy working with your hands to make tangible products, do you have an eye for detail? Put your strengths to work as a sewing machine operator with our company.

You will work as part of a team producing harnesses and slings, in addition to operating machinery, you will learn to inspect, and repair finished products as needed. Full training and development will be provided.

  • Salary – £11.50/hr
  • Work schedule – 37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday day shift.
  • Location – on-site. Ystad Ddiwydiannol Y Glyn, Llanberis, Caernarfon LL55 4EL

 

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Operate an industrial sewing machine to produce high quality harnesses and slings to the company’s specifications and standards.
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements.
  • Achieve output targets while always maintaining quality.
  • Ensure that your machine is kept in a clean condition.
  • Undertake other appropriate duties when required to do so.

Essential skills/traits:

  • Hardworking with a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Adaptability to change and willingness to undertake training across multiple product lines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and concern for quality. Good team player.

Desirable skills/traits (training will be provided):

  • Be able to change machine jigs and adjust the stitch tension for numerous product specifications.
  • Some experience with machine operation in a factory setting.
