Michele Caminati klettert The New Statesman (E8 /7a)

Michele Caminati gets the 7th (??) ascent of John Dunne’s classic frightener The New Statesman (E8/7a) at Ilkley. Michele’s smooth ascent is all the more remarkable coming only a week or so after he nearly totalled himself falling from high on the route, ripping gear and luckily land on a handily placed pad. However, Michele is proving himself a pretty tough cookie and his slew of hard grit ascents is a testament to his fortitiude and climbing ability.
