Black Diamond Equipment, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of climbing, mountaineering and backcountry equipment with its European Headquarters at Innsbruck is looking for a:

Logistig Manager (m/w/x)

As the Logistic Manager you plan, manage and oversee Black Diamond Europe’s Logistic agenda and are responsible for EU and non-EU countries Customs compliance, customsclearance processes, classification and valuation, warehouse efficiency, transport matters,delivery time and costs, stock levels and inventory issues. You are the first point of contact for any logistics question and acts as a facilitator and negotiator towards internal and external suppliers. This includes:

  • planning, budgeting, analysis and reporting: Seasonal input and output planning, analysis turnaround time, freight cost analysis, reporting and follow-up of back-orders
  • Negotiating and budgeting optimal annual rates for warehousing and freight
  • Inventory management and accuracy within BD’s ERP system and the warehouse
  • working closely with our 3PL logistics service provider in the Netherlands and monitor incoming goods, warehousing, order picking, packaging and distribution to ensure sales
  • leading your employee & colleague, the Logistics Coordinator
  • Leading logistics related continuous improvement projects
  • working closely with all department heads, especially Customer Service, Sales and Finance
  • strategically aligning with the American headquarter, especially Logistics & Supply Chain


The successful candidate has

  • a strong professional working knowledge Logistics and Supply Chain Management with 3-5 years of experience in the consumer goods business
  • the ability to analyze problems from a broader perspective and recognize needs for action
  • you set a positive example for others and lead your employee in a constructive and positive manner
  • mastery skills in Excel, ERP software and similar systems
  • excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively across all business disciplines and able to convey and assert your opinions appropriately
  • hands-on and engaged mentality. You give your team and colleagues the help the business needs to serve our customers
  • you are an active outdoor enthusiast and have a strong command of English, any other language is advantageous.

In Austria, we are required to declare the annual minimum salary of 45,000€. Depending on your qualifications and experience, an overpayment is foreseen.
