As part of the Category Management team, your role and responsibility sits in the interface between product development, marketing and the sales channels/regions. You are supervising the Go-to-market process and line creation from commercial side. To safeguard the best bases for decisions, you are providing relevant market feedback and analyze sell in and sell out data. To enable smooth proactive executions, you are creating and managing timelines, interfaces and collaboration between stakeholders. Assortment channeling is one of your measures to optimize customer/channel specific sell in. You are aiming to align seasonal plans across functions, to maximize sell in, sell out and contribution margin. We are looking for someone to start in this role on November 1st 2022 or by agreement.

Category Manager Hardware/Footwear

(all genders, 80-100%)

Keyesponsibilities:

  • Accompanying the seasonal Go-to-Market process, taking over commercial tasks and responsibilities as well as presenting elaborations in milestone meetings
  • Aligning key outfits and seasonal focus products with relevant interfaces and providing related quantity forecasts
  • Coordinating and executing strategical product channeling as well as creation of sell in assortments
  • Supporting commercial pre-season quantity forecasting for defined product categories/groups in alignment with financial revenue/margin targets
  • Support the global seasonal pricing process
  • Steering customer specific SMU requests and managing of channel exclusive products and capsule collections
  • Defining and coordinating commercially relevant assortment parameters
    (e.g. delivery windows, key assortment, NOOS, Core Range)
  • Supporting global collection creation with feedback in regards of assortment structure, demand of specific products/activities/product groups and requirements to the color card and product coloration
  • Providing performance analytics and feedback in defined formats within the global commercial team and towards interface functions
  • Close end to end cooperation within the commercial team to maximize performance and margin
  • Implementation and execution of global standard processes across the seasonal/yearly Category Management calendar

Skills requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable degree in Business Administration/ Sports Management/ Textile Management or in comparable fields
  • More than 3 years work experience in fashion or/and sports-article businesses
  • Very strong interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment and comfortable collaborating with various departments and regions
  • Experience in assortment planning, go to market and product channeling
  • Profound understanding of commercial end to end process
  • Experience in timeline, process, structure establishment and execution
  • Profound presentation skills and very good analytical skills
  • Good sense for products, esthetics, and trends
  • Business fluent in English and German
  • Passionate about the mountains and outdoor sports in general
